Seriously, don’t they have BETTER things to do?

I am not religious; in fact I definitely fall into the anti-religion camp. You can have all the faith you want, but keep it off my front porch. Having said that, you might think I would fall in line with the politically correct spiel of calling things “Holiday” instead of “Christmas”.

I got better things to worry about, folks…

Like it or not, while this country was founded on the principle of freedom from religious persecution, it WAS founded largely around Christianity. You can see references to it everywhere, from our holidays to the pledge of allegiance, to swearing an oath on a bible. Christianity is the religion that founded this country, and it’s not going anywhere.Something else: you do not have the right to NOT be offended. What that means is if something bothers you, you can either get over it or die with it. Whining about how calling a tree a Christmas tree vs. a Holiday tree offends you is a waste of valuable oxygen, and definitely doesn’t belong on a political stage.

You’re rights, as they were intended are as such: If you want to practice Buddhism, you can. If you want to practice Hindu, you can. Hell, if you want to practice Witchcraft, you can. You can do any of those things without having to worry about someone kicking down your door and hauling you away. You do NOT have the right to get mouthy because a vast majority of the population chooses to practice Christianity, as it is within their right to do so.

Leave Christmas alone people. Leave the pledge of allegiance alone. There are more important things to get hyper about.
