Democratic race over? Clinton doesn’t think so
I exhibit no surprise…
Democratic race over? Clinton doesn’t think so | Reuters WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Somebody forgot to tell Hillary Clinton the Democratic presidential race is over and Barack Obama won. Obama has captured more state contests, more votes and more of the pledged convention delegates who will help decide which Democrat faces Republican Sen. John McCain in November’s presidential election.
But Clinton, a New York senator who has flirted with disaster before in the back-and-forth nominating battle with Obama, shrugs off growing predictions of doom and still sees at least a narrow path to victory.
Personally, this kind of back and forth makes me giggle a bit. The Republicans have put to bed the question of who their candidate is, and are probably enjoying the spectacle that the Democrats are making of themselves. That is of course to say nothing about the breather the Republicans are getting to take, since no one has started firing at them in earnest yet.
Politics makes me crazy. I dont really care if it’s a Republican or Democrat in the oval office. I just want there to be someone who is intelligent, honest and trustworthy.
Its a sad commentary on our political environment and our society as a whole that we can’t seem to come up with someone who fits that criteria.
